Every draw game we publish, state and national, is on the lottery numbers index.
Not seeing your state?
It means that lottery does not publish enough for an honest answer, not that we have not got round to it. A state earns a page here when it releases, per game, the prizes that started and the prizes still unclaimed. Without both, "current payout" is a guess with a decimal point on it, and we would rather publish nothing than that.
Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Wisconsin are the middle case: the lottery publishes part of each prize table — some of its levels, or the counts left without the counts printed — but not enough to price a ticket. We cover them with exactly what is published — which games still have their top prizes — and no payout, because none can be computed honestly. The rows above say so.
Indiana is the example worth naming: its prize table lists only the upper prize levels, while its overall odds count every prize, including the small ones the table leaves out. Priced as if that table were whole, 59 of its 81 games came out paying back more than they cost — which no scratch-off does. So Indiana is covered as published, top prizes left and printed, and never priced.
States are added as their data proves good enough. If you know of a feed we have missed for your state, tell us — that is how several of the ones above got here.
What "covered" gets you
- Every active game ranked by current payout, any-prize odds, cash odds, profit odds, top prizes remaining and top-prize odds.
- A page per game with the full remaining-prize table, how the odds have drifted since launch, and when each top prize was claimed.
- Daily updates, dated on the page. Where a lottery's own feed stops, that state's pages say so instead of presenting old figures as current.
Accuracy
What each lottery publishes differs, and that changes how precise we can be: some states give the odds of every prize level, some give the print run, some give a single overall figure we have to spread across the prize table. The methodology page names which states are in which group and marks every number that is derived rather than quoted. If a figure here disagrees with the official lottery page, the official page is right and we want to know.
