No payout figure, on purpose. Kentucky publishes how many prizes are left at each level of a game, but not how many it started with. A payout, an expected value or the odds today each need every prize level and how many were printed, so for Kentucky we show exactly what its lottery publishes and compute nothing from it. A figure built from part of a table would be wrong, not rough: it is how one state's partial table produced games that appeared to pay back more than they cost. How we treat partial prize tables.

Every Kentucky scratch-off on sale, biggest top prizes still in play first

78 games, ordered games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the size of that top prize, then by how many are left, then by the better overall odds. Each row is what Kentucky publishes for the game: its prize levels are on the game's own page here, with every count as the lottery printed it. Kentucky does not say how many top prizes each game started with, so a count is shown on its own rather than as a share.

Why there is no payout figure for Kentucky

Every other state on this site is ranked by current payout: how much of each dollar still in a game comes back as prizes. That figure needs every prize level and how many of each were printed. Kentucky publishes how many prizes are left at each level of a game, but not how many it started with. So the figure cannot be computed, and an estimate would not be a rough version of the truth — it would be wrong in a direction nobody could see.

What Kentucky does publish answers the question most people bring to this page: which games still have their top prizes, and how many. Those counts are shown here as published, every day, with the date the Lottery last updated them. The overall odds on each game are Kentucky's own printed figure, not ours. The method is on our methodology page.

About Kentucky scratch-offs

Kentucky sells scratch-offs in price points from $1 to $50, and the Kentucky Lottery publishes every game on sale on one page, with its start date, its last day to purchase and last date to claim once they are set, its price, its top prize, its overall odds, and a table of how many prizes are left at each level. Those come from kylottery.com. What it does not publish is how many prizes each level started with — so there is no way to tell how much of a game has been claimed, or how many tickets remain, from its own figures.

That is why Kentucky's pages here carry no payout, expected value or current odds. Each of those needs the starting counts as well as the remaining ones, and an estimate built without them would be a guess presented as a number. What Kentucky's figures do answer exactly is which games still have their top prizes and how many, and that is how the games are ordered: games with a top prize still unclaimed first, the biggest top prize first.

One thing to know when reading Kentucky's tables. A top prize paid as an annuity is listed in the prize table at its cash value, not its advertised one: $1,000,000 Luck advertises a $1,000,000 top prize and its table lists that level as $862,000, the lump-sum option its footnote describes. We show the advertised prize as the top prize and the table exactly as Kentucky prints it.

Where to buy: licensed Kentucky Lottery retailers across the state. Small prizes can be cashed at retailers; larger ones are claimed from the Lottery, and the back of the ticket gives the exact limits. Kentucky's own rule: you have 180 days from a game's end date to claim a prize, and tickets may continue to be sold after some prizes, including all top prizes, have been claimed — which is exactly why the top-prize count here is worth checking first.

Tax: Kentucky withholds state income tax and 24% federal on prizes over $5,000; the lottery tax calculator has the rates. Withholding is not the same as what you finally owe. For anything large enough to change your tax bracket, talk to an accountant before you claim.

Scratch-off outcomes are fixed when the tickets are printed; nothing you read here changes the ticket in your hand. A top prize still being unclaimed says nothing about your chance of winning it. Play for entertainment, with money you can afford to lose.

Kentucky scratch-offs: common questions

Which Kentucky scratch-offs still have top prizes left?
67 of the 78 games Kentucky lists, as of October 14, 2026. First in our order (games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the size of that top prize, then by how many are left, then by the better overall odds): $30 Set For Life ($30, 3 $3,120,000 top prizes left); Fastest Road to $3 Million™ ($30, 2 $3,000,000 top prizes left); Instant Millionaire ($50, 2 $3,000,000 top prizes left).
What is the biggest top prize still unclaimed in Kentucky?
$3,120,000, on $30 Set For Life ($30), with 3 still unclaimed as of October 14, 2026.
How many Kentucky scratch-offs have no top prize left?
11 games are still on sale with every top prize claimed, including $5,000,000 Fortune ($50), Wild Cash 200X ($20), Cash Bonus ($20). Buying one cannot win its headline prize.
Why is there no payout or expected value for Kentucky?
Kentucky publishes how many prizes are left at each level of a game, but not how many it started with. A payout needs every prize level and how many were printed; without them any figure would be invented, so we publish none and show what the lottery publishes instead.
Which Kentucky scratch-off has the best overall odds?
Fastest Road to $3 Million™ ($30), at 1 in 2.60 as Kentucky prints them. Overall odds count every prize, most of them small, and are fixed when the game is printed.
How often is this updated?
We read Kentucky's official prize figures every day; the last read was October 14, 2026. Kentucky itself last updated its counts on October 12, 2026. Claims reach the counts only when the lottery processes them, so a prize can be won and not yet shown as claimed.
