Are scratch-off odds the same everywhere?

No. Every state lottery designs its own games and prize tables, so two $10 tickets in different states can pay back very different amounts. And the odds on a ticket change after it goes on sale: as prizes are claimed, what is left to win shifts, which is why the odds printed on the back stop being true. We recompute them every day from what is actually left.
