As of October 14, 2026, 56 of 59 Colorado scratch games still have a top prize unclaimed; first on our list: Casino Ca$h Chips ($20), with all 2 of its $1,000,000 top prizes still unclaimed (100%). No payout figure, on purpose. Colorado publishes how many of each prize were printed, but how many are left only for the top prize. A payout, an expected value or the odds today each need every prize level and how many were printed, so for Colorado we show exactly what its lottery publishes and compute nothing from it. A figure built from part of a table would be wrong, not rough: it is how one state's partial table produced games that appeared to pay back more than they cost. How we treat partial prize tables.
Every Colorado scratch game on sale, biggest top prizes still in play first
59 games, ordered games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the share of their top prizes still unclaimed, then by the better overall odds. Each row is what Colorado publishes for the game, and the game's own page here shows its top prize, with every count as the lottery printed it.

Why there is no payout figure for Colorado
Every other state on this site is ranked by current payout: how much of each dollar still in a game comes back as prizes. That figure needs every prize level and how many of each were printed. Colorado publishes how many of each prize were printed, but how many are left only for the top prize. So the figure cannot be computed, and an estimate would not be a rough version of the truth — it would be wrong in a direction nobody could see.
What Colorado does publish answers the question most people bring to this page: which games still have their top prizes, and how many. Those counts are shown here as published, every day, with the date the Lottery last updated them. The overall odds on each game are Colorado's own printed figure, not ours. The method is on our methodology page.
About Colorado scratch games
Colorado sells scratch games in price points from $1 to $50, and the Colorado Lottery publishes them all in one table, its "Scratch Insider": each game's number, price, start date, top prize, how many top prizes were printed and how many are still unclaimed, its overall odds, and — once sales have ended — the last day to claim. Each game's own page adds the full prize structure, every level with how many were printed and its odds, but a count of what is left only for the top prize. Those come from coloradolottery.com, updated daily.
That is why Colorado's pages here carry no payout, expected value or current odds: each needs to know how many of every prize are still out there, and Colorado says that for one level only. What its figures do answer exactly is how much of each game's top prize is still in play, and because Colorado publishes how many were printed, games here are ordered by the share of their top prizes still unclaimed, then by Colorado's overall odds, which count break-even prizes.
Colorado also prints a payout percentage for each game, worked out from the game's prize structure when it was printed. We do not repeat it: it describes the game at launch, not what is left in it now, and next to counts of what is left it would read as something it is not.
A game with a "claim by" date here has stopped selling; Colorado sets that date once a game's sales end, and its prizes can be claimed until then. A game Colorado marks as reordered has had more tickets printed, which adds prizes as well as tickets, so a count can rise as well as fall.
Where to buy: licensed Colorado Lottery retailers across the state. Small prizes can be cashed at retailers; larger ones are claimed from the Lottery, and the back of the ticket gives the exact limits.
Tax: Colorado withholds 4% state income tax and 24% federal on prizes over $5,000; the lottery tax calculator has the rates. Withholding is not the same as what you finally owe. For anything large enough to change your tax bracket, talk to an accountant before you claim.
Scratch-game outcomes are fixed when the tickets are printed; nothing you read here changes the ticket in your hand. A top prize still being unclaimed says nothing about your chance of winning it. Play for entertainment, with money you can afford to lose.
Colorado scratch games: common questions
- Which Colorado scratch games still have top prizes left?
- 56 of the 59 games Colorado lists, as of October 14, 2026. First in our order (games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the share of their top prizes still unclaimed, then by the better overall odds): Casino Ca$h Chips ($20, 2 of 2 $1,000,000 top prizes left); UNO™ (#419) ($10, 3 of 3 $250,000 top prizes left); EXTREME CASH ($20, 2 of 2 $1,000,000 top prizes left).
- What is the biggest top prize still unclaimed in Colorado?
- $3,780,000, on SET FOR LIFE ($50), with 1 still unclaimed as of October 14, 2026.
- How many Colorado scratch games have no top prize left?
- 3 games are still on sale with every top prize claimed, including Dynamite Crossword ($5), Decade of Dollars (#355) ($5), TRIPLE Play ($2). Buying one cannot win its headline prize.
- Why is there no payout or expected value for Colorado?
- Colorado publishes how many of each prize were printed, but how many are left only for the top prize. A payout needs every prize level and how many were printed; without them any figure would be invented, so we publish none and show what the lottery publishes instead.
- Which Colorado scratch game has the best overall odds?
- $3,000,000 EXTREME FORTUNE ($50), at 1 in 2.56 as Colorado prints them. Overall odds count every prize, most of them small, and are fixed when the game is printed.
- How often is this updated?
- We read Colorado's official prize figures every day; the last read was October 14, 2026. Claims reach the counts only when the lottery processes them, so a prize can be won and not yet shown as claimed.
