No payout figure, on purpose. Nebraska publishes only the top two to four prize levels of each game, and how many of each are left, but not how many were printed. A payout, an expected value or the odds today each need every prize level and how many were printed, so for Nebraska we show exactly what its lottery publishes and compute nothing from it. A figure built from part of a table would be wrong, not rough: it is how one state's partial table produced games that appeared to pay back more than they cost. How we treat partial prize tables.

Every Nebraska scratch game on sale, biggest top prizes still in play first

25 games, ordered games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the size of that top prize, then by how many are left, then by the better overall odds. Each row is what Nebraska publishes for the game, and the game's own page here shows its top prize levels, with every count as the lottery printed it. Nebraska does not say how many top prizes each game started with, so a count is shown on its own rather than as a share.

Why there is no payout figure for Nebraska

Every other state on this site is ranked by current payout: how much of each dollar still in a game comes back as prizes. That figure needs every prize level and how many of each were printed. Nebraska publishes only the top two to four prize levels of each game, and how many of each are left, but not how many were printed. So the figure cannot be computed, and an estimate would not be a rough version of the truth — it would be wrong in a direction nobody could see.

What Nebraska does publish answers the question most people bring to this page: which games still have their top prizes, and how many. Those counts are shown here as published, every day, with the date the Lottery last updated them. The overall odds on each game are Nebraska's own printed figure, not ours. The method is on our methodology page.

About Nebraska scratch games

Nebraska sells scratch games in price points from $1 to $30, and the Nebraska Lottery publishes how many prizes are left in one place: a one-page sheet on nelottery.com, "Top Prizes Remaining", remade each week, which lists for every game its top two to four prize levels and how many of each are still unclaimed. Each game's own page adds its overall odds and every way to win with its odds; the Games Closing page gives the closing date and last day to claim of games being retired. Nebraska does not publish how many of any prize were printed, and nothing at all about what is left of the smaller prizes.

That is why Nebraska's pages here carry no payout, expected value or current odds: each needs every prize level and how many were printed, and Nebraska's sheet gives neither. What it does answer exactly is which games still have their top prizes and how many, and that is how the games are ordered: games with a top prize still unclaimed first, the biggest top prize first, then by how many are left.

The sheet is weekly, so the counts here move once a week, and the date Nebraska puts on it is shown at the top of each page. A game being closed is "initiated upon notification of the last top prize being claimed", in Nebraska's words, but tickets may be sold until the process is complete; its prizes can then be claimed until the expiration date shown.

Where to buy: licensed Nebraska Lottery retailers across the state. Small prizes can be cashed at retailers; larger ones are claimed from the Lottery, and the back of the ticket gives the exact limits.

Tax: Nebraska withholds 5.01% state income tax and 24% federal on prizes over $5,000; the lottery tax calculator has the rates. Withholding is not the same as what you finally owe. For anything large enough to change your tax bracket, talk to an accountant before you claim.

Scratch-game outcomes are fixed when the tickets are printed; nothing you read here changes the ticket in your hand. A top prize still being unclaimed says nothing about your chance of winning it. Play for entertainment, with money you can afford to lose.

Nebraska scratch games: common questions

25 of the 25 games Nebraska lists, as of October 14, 2026. First in our order (games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the size of that top prize, then by how many are left, then by the better overall odds): Electric 7s ($30, 1 $300,000 top prize left); $200,000 Crossword Jackpot ($20, 2 $200,000 top prizes left); Diamonds & Gold ($20, 1 $200,000 top prize left).
What is the biggest top prize still unclaimed in Nebraska?
$300,000, on Electric 7s ($30), with 1 still unclaimed as of October 14, 2026.
How many Nebraska scratch games have no top prize left?
None, as of October 14, 2026: every game Nebraska lists still has at least one top prize unclaimed.
Why is there no payout or expected value for Nebraska?
Nebraska publishes only the top two to four prize levels of each game, and how many of each are left, but not how many were printed. A payout needs every prize level and how many were printed; without them any figure would be invented, so we publish none and show what the lottery publishes instead.
Which Nebraska scratch game has the best overall odds?
Electric 7s ($30), at 1 in 2.90 as Nebraska prints them. Overall odds count every prize, most of them small, and are fixed when the game is printed.
How often is this updated?
We read Nebraska's official prize figures every day; the last read was October 14, 2026. Nebraska itself last updated its counts on October 11, 2026. Claims reach the counts only when the lottery processes them, so a prize can be won and not yet shown as claimed.
