No payout figure, on purpose. Delaware publishes only the top prize of each game, with how many were printed and how many are left. A payout, an expected value or the odds today each need every prize level and how many were printed, so for Delaware we show exactly what its lottery publishes and compute nothing from it. A figure built from part of a table would be wrong, not rough: it is how one state's partial table produced games that appeared to pay back more than they cost. How we treat partial prize tables.

These games are still on Delaware's list, but no ticket bought now can win the headline prize: the Lottery's own count of top prizes remaining is zero.

Why there is no payout figure for Delaware

Every other state on this site is ranked by current payout: how much of each dollar still in a game comes back as prizes. That figure needs every prize level and how many of each were printed. Delaware publishes only the top prize of each game, with how many were printed and how many are left. So the figure cannot be computed, and an estimate would not be a rough version of the truth — it would be wrong in a direction nobody could see.

What Delaware does publish answers the question most people bring to this page: which games still have their top prizes, and how many. Those counts are shown here as published, every day, with the date the Lottery last updated them. Delaware prints its overall odds only on the ticket itself, so there are none here. The method is on our methodology page.

About Delaware instant games

Delaware sells instant games in price points from $1 to $50, and the Delaware Lottery publishes one table of them on delottery.com: each game's number, price and top prize, with how many top prizes it started with and how many are still unclaimed, updated weekly and dated. Everything else about a game's prizes — the odds and counts of every other level, and the overall odds — Delaware publishes only as a picture of the back of the ticket, and a weekly PDF adds the second prize level's count left without how many there were.

That is why Delaware's pages here carry no payout, expected value or current odds: each needs every prize level, and Delaware publishes counts in text for the top one only. What its table does answer exactly is whether a game's top prize is still out there, and because it gives how many there were, games here are ordered by the share of their top prizes still unclaimed.

A game Delaware marks with an asterisk has had its last top prize claimed; Delaware's note says it may still be sold until its announced end of sales, so it stays listed here with none left, as Delaware lists it. A few games list a top prize of only $100 or $250 with thousands of them: that is how those games are built, and the counts are Delaware's.

Where to buy: licensed Delaware Lottery retailers across the state. Small prizes can be cashed at retailers; larger ones are claimed from the Lottery, and the back of the ticket gives the exact limits. Prizes must be claimed within a year of a game's end of sales.

Tax: Delaware does not withhold state income tax on lottery prizes; federal withholding of 24% applies to prizes over $5,000, and a prize is taxable income either way. The lottery tax calculator has the rates. For anything large enough to change your tax bracket, talk to an accountant before you claim.

Instant-game outcomes are fixed when the tickets are printed; nothing you read here changes the ticket in your hand. A top prize still being unclaimed says nothing about your chance of winning it. Play for entertainment, with money you can afford to lose.

First in our order (games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the share of their top prizes still unclaimed, then by the better overall odds): Jumbo Bucks Emerald ($2, 6 of 6 $3,000 top prizes left); 3 for $10 ($10, 5 of 5 $40,000 top prizes left); Game Show Experience ($5, 3 of 3 $30,000 top prizes left).
What is the biggest top prize still unclaimed in Delaware?
$1,000,000, on $1 MILLION VAULT ($50), with 2 still unclaimed as of October 14, 2026.
How many Delaware instant games have no top prize left?
10 games are still on sale with every top prize claimed, including Aces High ($1), Grand Slam!! ($1), MONOPOLY 5X ($1). Buying one cannot win its headline prize.
Why is there no payout or expected value for Delaware?
Delaware publishes only the top prize of each game, with how many were printed and how many are left. A payout needs every prize level and how many were printed; without them any figure would be invented, so we publish none and show what the lottery publishes instead.
Which Delaware instant game has the best overall odds?
Delaware does not publish overall odds for the games it lists.
How often is this updated?
We read Delaware's official prize figures every day; the last read was October 14, 2026. Delaware itself last updated its counts on October 12, 2026. Claims reach the counts only when the lottery processes them, so a prize can be won and not yet shown as claimed.
