About Connecticut scratch games
Connecticut sells Scratch Games in price points from $1 to $50, and the Connecticut Lottery publishes everything the analysis on this page needs: how many prizes each game started with, how many are still unclaimed, the overall odds, and — unusually — how many tickets were printed. That last figure is why the odds here are exact rather than estimated. Most states give one overall odds figure and we spread it across the prize table; Connecticut gives the ticket count, so each prize level's odds are simply tickets divided by prizes at that level. Across all 74 games the two figures agree to within a fifth of a percent. The method is on our methodology page.
