Maine Instant Tickets: Which Still Have Big Prizes (October 2026)

As of October 14, 2026, Maine lists 31 instant tickets with prizes of $500 or more still unclaimed; first on our list: $70 MILLION SUPREME ($30), with 3 $1,000,000 prizes left, the largest Maine still lists for it. Maine does not publish each game's top prize, so these pages do not say which games still have one.

No payout figure, on purpose. Maine publishes only the prizes of $500 and up that each game still has, with how many are left, and neither the game's top prize nor how many of any prize were printed. A payout, an expected value or the odds today each need every prize level and how many were printed, so for Maine we show exactly what its lottery publishes and compute nothing from it. A figure built from part of a table would be wrong, not rough: it is how one state's partial table produced games that appeared to pay back more than they cost. How we treat partial prize tables.

Every Maine instant ticket on sale, biggest prizes still unclaimed first

31 games, ordered by the largest prize still unclaimed, then by how many of it are left. Each row is what Maine publishes for the game, and the game's own page here shows its prizes of $500 or more still unclaimed, with every count as the lottery printed it. Maine does not say how many of any prize each game started with, so a count is shown on its own rather than as a share.

Why there is no payout figure for Maine

Every other state on this site is ranked by current payout: how much of each dollar still in a game comes back as prizes. That figure needs every prize level and how many of each were printed. Maine publishes only the prizes of $500 and up that each game still has, with how many are left, and neither the game's top prize nor how many of any prize were printed. So the figure cannot be computed, and an estimate would not be a rough version of the truth — it would be wrong in a direction nobody could see.

What Maine does publish answers the question most people bring to this page: which games still have their big prizes, and how many. Those counts are shown here as published, every day, with the date the Lottery last updated them. Maine prints its overall odds only on the ticket itself, so there are none here. The method is on our methodology page.

About Maine instant tickets

Maine sells instant tickets in price points from $1 to $30, and the Maine State Lottery publishes one table of them every morning on mainelottery.com: for each game it is still shipping or has recently stopped shipping, its price, the percentage of its tickets not yet sold, the total of its prizes still unclaimed in dollars, and every prize of $500 or more it still has, with how many of each are left. A second page gives the date a game stops being shipped and the last day to cash its tickets, a year later.

What Maine does not publish is as important. It lists a prize level only while some of it is left: once the last $100,000 prize of a game is claimed, that level simply leaves the table. So the largest prize Maine lists for a game is the largest one still out there, which is not necessarily the game's top prize, and Maine publishes the top prize nowhere a reader of this page can check. These pages therefore never say a game "still has its top prize"; they say what is left, largest first. Maine also publishes nothing about how many of any prize were printed, and no counts below $500, so there is no payout, expected value or current odds here — and its two game figures are shown as Maine's own and never combined, because unclaimed dollars set against unsold tickets would make exactly the payout its counts cannot support.

Overall odds and ticket pictures are on pages of maine.gov that its site rules ask automated readers not to visit, so they are not here; each game links to Maine's table instead.

Where to buy: licensed Maine State Lottery agents across the state. A game can stay on sale at an agent after the Lottery stops shipping it. Small prizes can be cashed at agents; larger ones are claimed from the Lottery, and the back of the ticket gives the exact limits.

Tax: Maine withholds 7.15% state income tax and 24% federal on prizes over $5,000; the lottery tax calculator has the rates. Withholding is not the same as what you finally owe. For anything large enough to change your tax bracket, talk to an accountant before you claim.

Instant-ticket outcomes are fixed when the tickets are printed; nothing you read here changes the ticket in your hand. A prize still being unclaimed says nothing about your chance of winning it. Play for entertainment, with money you can afford to lose.

Maine instant tickets: common questions

Which Maine instant tickets still have big prizes left?
Maine lists 31 games with prizes of $500 or more still unclaimed, as of October 14, 2026. First in our order (by the largest prize still unclaimed, then by how many of it are left): $70 MILLION SUPREME ($30, 3 $1,000,000 prizes left); JACKPOT ($20, 4 $500,000 prizes left); $500,000 ROYAL CASH ($20, 1 $500,000 prize left).
What is the biggest prize still unclaimed in Maine?
$1,000,000, on $70 MILLION SUPREME ($30), with 3 still unclaimed as of October 14, 2026.
Does Maine say which games still have their top prize?
No. Maine publishes only the prizes of $500 and up that each game still has, with how many are left, and neither the game's top prize nor how many of any prize were printed. A level whose prizes are all claimed leaves the table, so the largest prize listed for a game is what is left of it, not necessarily what it started with.
Why is there no payout or expected value for Maine?
A payout needs every prize level and how many were printed; Maine publishes neither, so we publish no figure and show what the lottery publishes instead.
How often is this updated?
We read Maine's official prize figures every day; the last read was October 14, 2026. Maine itself last updated its counts on October 14, 2026. Claims reach the counts only when the lottery processes them, so a prize can be won and not yet shown as claimed.
