No payout figure, on purpose. Kansas publishes how many prizes are left at each level of a game, but not how many it started with. A payout, an expected value or the odds today each need every prize level and how many were printed, so for Kansas we show exactly what its lottery publishes and compute nothing from it. A figure built from part of a table would be wrong, not rough: it is how one state's partial table produced games that appeared to pay back more than they cost. How we treat partial prize tables.

Every Kansas scratch ticket on sale, biggest top prizes still in play first

46 games, ordered games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the size of that top prize, then by how many are left, then by the better overall odds. Each row is what Kansas publishes for the game, and the game's own page here shows its prize levels, with every count as the lottery printed it. Kansas does not say how many top prizes each game started with, so a count is shown on its own rather than as a share.

Why there is no payout figure for Kansas

Every other state on this site is ranked by current payout: how much of each dollar still in a game comes back as prizes. That figure needs every prize level and how many of each were printed. Kansas publishes how many prizes are left at each level of a game, but not how many it started with. So the figure cannot be computed, and an estimate would not be a rough version of the truth — it would be wrong in a direction nobody could see.

What Kansas does publish answers the question most people bring to this page: which games still have their top prizes, and how many. Those counts are shown here as published, every day, with the date the Lottery last updated them. The overall odds on each game are Kansas's own printed figure, not ours. The method is on our methodology page.

About Kansas scratch tickets

Kansas sells scratch tickets in price points from $1 to $50, and the Kansas Lottery publishes each game on its own page at playonkansas.com: its price, top prize, overall odds, launch date, and — once sales stop — its end-of-sale date and last day to claim, with a table of how many prizes are left at every level of the game, which Kansas says it updates hourly. What it does not publish is how many of each prize were printed, so there is no way to tell from its own figures how much of a game has been claimed or how many tickets remain.

That is why Kansas's pages here carry no payout, expected value or current odds. Each of those needs the printed counts as well as the remaining ones, and an estimate made without them would be a guess presented as a number. What Kansas's figures do answer exactly is which games still have their top prizes and how many, and that is how the games are ordered: games with a top prize still unclaimed first, the biggest top prize first, then by how many are left.

Two things worth knowing about Kansas's dates. A game has no end date at all while it is on sale; Kansas fills one in only once sales have stopped, so there is no advance warning of a game ending — a game moves straight from on sale to claims only. Claims then run for 180 days from the end of sale, and the last day to claim is shown on each game's page here.

Where to buy: licensed Kansas Lottery retailers across the state. Small prizes can be cashed at retailers; larger ones are claimed from the Lottery, and the back of the ticket gives the exact limits. Pull-tab games are sold on the same pages and are a different product; they are not listed here.

Tax: Kansas withholds 5% state income tax and 24% federal on prizes over $5,000; the lottery tax calculator has the rates. Withholding is not the same as what you finally owe. For anything large enough to change your tax bracket, talk to an accountant before you claim.

Scratch-ticket outcomes are fixed when the tickets are printed; nothing you read here changes the ticket in your hand. A top prize still being unclaimed says nothing about your chance of winning it. Play for entertainment, with money you can afford to lose.

Kansas scratch tickets: common questions

Which Kansas scratch tickets still have top prizes left?
46 of the 46 games Kansas lists, as of October 14, 2026. First in our order (games with a top prize still unclaimed first, by the size of that top prize, then by how many are left, then by the better overall odds): Platinum Payout ($50, 3 $500,000 top prizes left); Fabulous Fortune ($50, 2 $500,000 top prizes left); Jackpot Super Ticket ($30, 4 $300,000 top prizes left).
What is the biggest top prize still unclaimed in Kansas?
$500,000, on Platinum Payout ($50), with 3 still unclaimed as of October 14, 2026.
How many Kansas scratch tickets have no top prize left?
None, as of October 14, 2026: every game Kansas lists still has at least one top prize unclaimed.
Why is there no payout or expected value for Kansas?
Kansas publishes how many prizes are left at each level of a game, but not how many it started with. A payout needs every prize level and how many were printed; without them any figure would be invented, so we publish none and show what the lottery publishes instead.
Which Kansas scratch ticket has the best overall odds?
Extreme Crossword ($20), at 1 in 2.34 as Kansas prints them. Overall odds count every prize, most of them small, and are fixed when the game is printed.
How often is this updated?
We read Kansas's official prize figures every day; the last read was October 14, 2026. Claims reach the counts only when the lottery processes them, so a prize can be won and not yet shown as claimed.
