In short

9 has come up most often, 87 times. Each digit averages about 77 over 192 draws, and whichever digit happens to lead normally finishes around 13 ahead. 9 is 10 ahead, so this is an ordinary spread rather than a streak. 5 has come up least, 61 times.

The California Lottery publishes about a year of past draws, so this table starts at April 15, 2026 rather than at the last rule change. We store every new draw as it happens, so it deepens by one line a day.

The statistics behind that

Expected count 76.8, standard deviation 8.3. The leader sits at 1.23 standard deviations against an expected maximum of 1.54 for 10 numbers; a lead at least this large arises by chance about 45% of the time. Goodness of fit to a uniform draw: chi-square 9.2 on 9 degrees of freedom, p = 0.419. How we calculate it.

How far each number is above or below its average of 77 appearances. The shaded band is the normal range — where 19 of every 20 numbers land. Every number is inside it. The numbers printed on the chart are the highest, the lowest and anything outside the band.

Most and least drawn are 26 apart. For 10 digits over 192 draws that gap normally comes out around 26, so this one is about what you would expect.

Longest wait

5 has not been drawn for 8 draws. Gaps that long are rarer than average for any one number, but with 10 numbers in the game a wait that long has happened about 23 times over this stretch. It does not make 5 any likelier tonight.

Frequently asked questions

Do hot and cold numbers predict anything?
No. The gap between the most and least drawn digit here is 26 appearances, which is about what 192 draws produce on their own. The table is worth looking at; it is not worth betting on.
Why do your frequencies differ from other sites?
Mostly because we only count draws since the game last changed its set of balls: counting across a change mixes two different games. Daily 4 is published by a single official feed, and every draw here is that feed's record; our sources page says which.
What does the shaded band on the chart mean?
It marks the normal range — where 19 out of 20 digits land when every one is equally likely. With 10 digits on the chart, one sticking out now and then is the usual picture rather than a sign of anything.
How far back does this Daily 4 data go?
Our full history runs back to April 15, 2026 — 192 draws. The frequency table on this page uses the 192 draws since April 15, 2026, the first the lottery still publishes. Browse every draw by year.
